So I’ve been to the Grandview a bunch of times for weddings, and although every wedding is different, this one was so much fun!! It started at The Grand for prep with the girls, which was super laid back and lots of laughs. Nicole looked stunning in her dress, it fit her perfectly. From there, we were headed to The Grandview waterfront for a first look with her and Dave. I ended up driving Nicole to her wedding (not a first), and Dave took an Uber! Like I said: laid back and fun. First look went well on the waterfront, and from there we did their portraits, followed by bridal party and then family. I have to say, this was the first time not only did family show up EARLY for photos, but they all lined up almost perfectly! It was amazing. 🙂
Ceremony was outside on the patio, and it was great; Nicole and Dave are so sweet together and so in love, it was easy to capture the emotion. They had a New Orleans style band for their reception, and they really kept the party rocking. I took them outside quick for a night time bridge shot, and then the ABSOLUTE first happened at a wedding (for me anyway): Dave and a few friends got up on the stage and performed not one, but three songs, one being a Phish song (they’re big Phish fans) and the classic “No Diggity”! It was like having a concert at their wedding, and they were amazing!! I had such an awesome time at this wedding, and I’m so grateful that Nicole and Dave chose me as their photographer. Congratulations to a super fun couple!!
